Well sorta.. more on that later.

Our Memorial Day weekend was good. Mom came over Monday we grilled burgers, sausages and hot dogs. She also brought a pineapple cake that was delicious. We watched The Express which was a VERY good movie imo.

Mom brought a friend and while I was a tad bit anxious at first about having someone he'd never met in the house. But when the guy came in Mikey ran right up, stuck out his hand and said "Hi, I am Mikey, whats your name?". I think my jaw hit the floor.

I have started using a Coupon Clipping service rather than buy papers as much because sometimes there are REALLY good deals out there and I don't wanna get just ONE or Two. So Wednesday I went out and tried this. I got

22 Aunt Jemima Frozen Breakfasts
12 Kraft BBQ sauce
4 Ragu Pasta sauce
2 A-1 Steak Sauce
2 Kraft Salad Dressing
1 Digiorno Flatbread
1 Powerade


Before sales and coupons my total was $100 and some change (of course I wouldn't have bought the stuff if it wasn't on sale, just making a point). After sales it was $53. After coupons? Right around $20. The kids love the breakfasts, I have BBQ out the ass and enough sauce and condiments to last me quite some time.

So yeah. My guild went into 10 man Ulduar Wednesday night with one goal. Take down XT in hard mode. You can do the dungeon on either 10 or 25 man and each has an easy mode and a hard mode. The hard mode adds more things to move from, kill, heal through etc etc. It also rewards one extra piece of loot and on 10 man, gives you the 25 man emblem (emblems are turned in for different gear).

We spent an hour and a half on it and when we got it down.. it was sweeeet. It was recorded by our shammy and posted on youtube. I don't expect you to watch the whole 8 minute fight but you can actually kinda see me.

Most of the video the raid is behind XT, the tank in front, where you cant see him. If you look up to the right hand side of the boss you can see me. I light up alot healing. I stand there so if I get bombed (which requires you to move away from the raid) I dont have to stop tank healing. I just heal myself through it.

Anyways, I was very proud of us. We are currently 10/14 10 man and 8/14 25 man but Thorim is going down tonight!

That's what I heard today while getting Mikey's stuff ready for school. He can say the sweetest things sometimes.

Yesterday we made apple pie. The kids were very excited about it.. they helped me roll out the pie crust, spoon the filling in and criss cross the lattice across the top. While eating his Mikey said "You're the best apple pie maker EVER!"... you'd have thought it was from scratch but I'll take it.

He's not alone.. Heather will often come running from any direction and plow into me while expressing her love. It's very... energetic. Occasionally painful ><

Its been an interesting few weeks. Mikey missed every day of school last week. I tried to send him a few times and he kept getting sent back home. I finally just said screw it and didn't send him back till Monday, when he had FINALLY stopped coughing.

This week it has rained (like thunderstorms) ALL day EVERY day since Monday. We saw the sun for a small time this afternoon but it is cloudy again and the weekend is supposed to be the same.

Anyone doing anything fun for the holiday weekend? Mom is taking Mikey over Sunday night. I might try to get some burgers to grill, we'll see I guess. Have a great weekend and holiday!!

Happy Mother's Day!!

I hope everyone is enjoying their Mother's day. I got to sleep in, which I usually do on Sunday's anyways but still nice. I got a sweet card Mikey made at school for me and a bouncy three year old on my chest when I woke up. Also, a bunch of Happy Mother's Day texts on my phone!

Originally we were going to do our yearly Sonny's BBQ trip with Mom.. however Jason is sick and Mikey was protesting. Mom suggested I order take out and bring it back so that is what I did. Feast for four and sweet tea, yummy!!

Mom was going to take both kids Friday night to give me a night off but Mikey got really sick at school Thursday. He was running a fever, coughing bad and throwing up.

Here's a fun fact. If your kid throws up on your cell phone, it is probably not going to work anymore.

So Mom only took Heather (which, trust me, is STILL relaxing) and Mikey stayed home with me. I asked her to pick up some medicine, sprite and applesauce on her way over. She arrived with three kinds of kids medicine, two kinds of adult medicine, disinfecting wipes, Lysol, cracker, applesauce, sprite, a board game and two DVD's.

So Heather developed a runny nose at Mom's house and by the time Saturday rolled around, Jason was feeling like shit too. I still am fine. My friend Heather Anne theorized Moms always get sick last so we can take care of everyone else first. I think she's right.
