That's what I heard today while getting Mikey's stuff ready for school. He can say the sweetest things sometimes.
Yesterday we made apple pie. The kids were very excited about it.. they helped me roll out the pie crust, spoon the filling in and criss cross the lattice across the top. While eating his Mikey said "You're the best apple pie maker EVER!"... you'd have thought it was from scratch but I'll take it.
He's not alone.. Heather will often come running from any direction and plow into me while expressing her love. It's very... energetic. Occasionally painful ><
Its been an interesting few weeks. Mikey missed every day of school last week. I tried to send him a few times and he kept getting sent back home. I finally just said screw it and didn't send him back till Monday, when he had FINALLY stopped coughing.
This week it has rained (like thunderstorms) ALL day EVERY day since Monday. We saw the sun for a small time this afternoon but it is cloudy again and the weekend is supposed to be the same.
Anyone doing anything fun for the holiday weekend? Mom is taking Mikey over Sunday night. I might try to get some burgers to grill, we'll see I guess. Have a great weekend and holiday!!

I am not craving an apple pie. MMMmmm
No plans here. Michael is leaving town on Sunday so I'm all alone on Memorial day. If I were closer I'd ask nicely if could come make burgers with you :)
Those are expressions you'll never forget and you won't get tired of getting them, even when they are grown. :)
